Smile

It is simple to acknowledge someone; to let them know  you recognize their existence. Just smile!

Good Habits / Bad Habits

I read once that the secret of our success can be found in our daily routine. Well, if that is true, I bet the secret of our failures can also be found in our daily routines. Let me say it like this. Our habits are either making us or breaking us. Habits are the things we do daily that we rarly have to think about. They are deeply rooted behaviors. So, I just want us all to take a look at our habits to see if we have any that may be keeping us from living the life we desire.

Habits are programmed behaviors that produce specific results in our lives.

Failure or Focus

Hello friends!! I love reaching out and connecting to people. Today I want to talk about two words. Failure and Focus, and how they are related to one another. If we don’t learn to focus on what we are trying to achieve, we will experience a failure. But failure has the ability to generate tremendous focus. So here is where I want to get to. It doesn’t matter what we are trying to do, we need to have focus. If we have had a failure in our lives, the good news is this; failure does not constitute the end. If looked upon appropriately, we can gain key pieces of information from a failure that can help us be successful the next time around.

Failure is only a death sentence if we see failure as a failure and not a learning experience

I Talk To Myself

I talk to myself on a regular basis and I am not crazy. I know the kind of person I want to be and the things I want to do with my life. In my adulthood, I have come across many people that felt the need to tell me about me and give their opinions about what I’m doing. My friends, I’m telling you today that the most important person you need to hear from about you and what you are doing is you. Your words will always carry more weight in your ears than anyone else. For example, one of the things I tell myself every morning is this. “I can figure out the solution to any problem.” As we venture into our future, we need to make sure it is being molded by our thoughts and words, and not the thoughts and words of someone else.

Words are seeds planted in the soil of our hearts. One day soon they will produce a harvest.

Changing For Better

The new year puts us in the mindset of changing for the better. Most of us don’t like change. We have to first admit that something may not be right and then we have to do the fun part and look at it. But don’t look at it too long my friends. See what you want to be different from last year. Put them in the order of which you want to change first, figure out what behavior to replace it with, then get busy doing it.

Success is hard because it can be unattractive at times. You have to do the same thing day in and day out to reach your mark.

The New Year

Hey Everyone and Happy New Year!!

It is a new year today. Most of us have set goals for the year and have already hit the ground running. But here is the deal. That momentum of it being a new year will run out soon and we will have to find some momentum from within. Frustration may set in because we may feel like we are failing. Well, I have good news. The new year is only a time mark. We can start a goal or re-focus one at any time during the year. So, if you fall off your horse in a couple of months, you don’t have to wait until the next new year to set or re-set your goal(s). Get up, dust off, and get back on!! Keep this in mind as you go for it in 2020.

Prov. 24:16a For a good man/woman falls down seven times and rises up again:

Cracks In The Foundation

In order to build anything, it must first have a solid foundation. What construction company would dare build any structure without laying a proper foundation? Without a solid foundation, whatever it is, will not survive the ever-changing environments we live in. But what about our lives? Have we had a proper foundation laid? Most of us have not. Many of us have poorly laid foundations with severe cracks in them, and are barely holding up to the things this life is throwing at us. Yet, there is still hope. When I look out at the people that cross my path every day, I often find myself thinking about them and myself. We are all trying to keep our heads above water with whatever tools we have received. Some of us had great parents, some good, and others poor or no parenting at all. Some of us came from good environments and some of us did not. It doesn’t matter because we are all facing issue/cracks that we are trying to overcome. The only way to seal the cracks is to position ourselves for change. We will need to change the information going in, so we can change our thoughts, words, and actions. We can not continue to think the same thoughts, talk about the same stuff, do the same things, and hang around the same old people. NOTE: Some of the people we need to get away from maybe friends and even family. Especially if their thoughts words and behaviors are influencing our lives in the wrong directions, and thus causing us to miss out on many of the things we know we want. Take control of your life my friends, and in the process, you may encourage those closes to you to do the same. If not, focus ahead and move on. You owe it to yourself and those in front that will embrace and benefit from your decision to be a better you!

I Have Arrived

At what point do we say we have arrived. Is it the point when we can say we have achieved what we want out of life. I believe that to be a critical point in life. I want everyone to know that if we ever allow ourselves to say we have arrived,  that will be the very moment things will start going in the other direction. We are created to continue to experience growth as long as there is breath in our bodies. When we set goals and achieve them, the excitement of doing so does not last long. We automatically want to set and achieve a higher mark for our lives. That’s who we are.

The Process Continues

Yes, the process continues. We go from one experience to the next on the way to fulfilling our goals and realizing our dreams. Many lose heart on the way because they feel like it’s just taking too long or the process is not working. Don’t fall for that! If you are doing something toward your goal or dream then you are realizing it. The goal is the process and the process is the act of living your dream. When I wrote my first book, all I thought about was finishing it so I could say I fulfilled my dream to become an author. Then I realized I was already an author. I became one the moment I started writing. Many of us are already living our dreams and don’t even realize it.

The Process

Do you have a microwave mentality about your life? Have you grown tired of waiting for something meaningful to come to past in your life? Many of us abort the mission just days before we get our break-through. You are extremely valuable. You represent the most valuable asset in the universe. Nothing about you should ever be rushed. Keep moving forward every day. Here a little, there a little, and it will come to pass. It will come to pass if you don’t give up. Remember this also. When you hear or read about someone else’s success, don’t just pay attention to what they have now. Use your imagination to see everything they had to go through to get there. This is called the Process
