Are You Doing Your Part

I love to asked serious questions when I write. It causes deep life changing thoughts upon the reader, including myself. In any given situation we all know what are part is. But many of us are doing just enough to make it look like that we are doing our part. But we know that we are short changing others and even ourselves. When we allow this to happen we chip away at our confidence to lead an above average life.

The Master Keys To Sucess

Everybody wants to be successful in whatever they are doing. I believe that there are two master keys that will guarantee success in whatever we are pursuing. They are, repetition, which is to do it over and over and over. Secondly, is persistence, which means that we don’t give up when it doesn’t seem to be working and or we feel like it should have happened by now. Sounds kind of boring doesn’t it. You can set goals and time frames to help yourself gage, but we must be careful about that because if it doesn’t happen within that time frame or shortly after, most people throw in the towel. The best example is exercise. People want to set a goal and put a time frame on the expected results, and if it takes to long to see the results desired they jump ship. There are no quick solutions to success. Sometimes things almost take a life time.  So, do that thing over and over until it produces the desired fruit.

What’s Next

What’s next? What a question that is. Do you know what’s next for you? Today we must give a lot thought to this question. Many people avoid looking at what is next for them because they are afraid. Going into uncharted territory is alway a little scary, but always neecasry for growth. Many of us know that the next step of life is rapidly closing in on us but we refuse to make the neccassary preporations in order to have a good experience. If we don’t prepare for the next step, chances are we won’t take it.

*-0.People Do What People See

It is the most powerful learning tool available to us. I’ve had it said to me many times, “Watch and learn!” Our children imitate us and just about everything they see, they make attempts to reproduce it in their behaviors. The blade here swings both ways. Watching destructive behavior brings on destructive behavior, and like wise, watching good behavior brings about good behavior, especially in our children.

One Word

The right word at the right time can turn your life in the right direction. What we may not understand is that we hold those words for someone else. Let them have it and you will see that when we turn their lives around with our words, it has a positive impact on our own lives.

Know For Your Self

If we read many books and listened to many speakers on tape, CD, and in person;  it is still our responsibility to make sure that what we read and listen to is accurate information.

Dream Your Way To The Top

It takes a lot of courage to go after your dreams. Going after your dreams for some of us means that we will be going at it in an unconventional way. Our dreams are located deep with in the confines of our hearts. We all have dreams that we would like to see come to past in our lives, some of them are big and others may be small. But I’m talking about the that special one that most of us have. We sit back think deep thoughts about what we want and often never make any efforts to pursue them. Please understand that dreaming alone will not bring them to past and that there will be a lot of set backs as we pursue them. Yes, sometimes we may not get to see them come to past exactly the way we have percieved them. But I can assure us this one thing, that the persuit of it will bring us so much more joy and inner piece than doing nothing. It will cause us to grow as a person like no other thing, take us place, and allow to meet peole that otherwise we would never have know. Remember this also, that you may look up and be standing right in the middle of your real dream and not evern know it because the pursuit may have cuased you to get out of balance. Nevertheless, dream on my friends and enjoy your pursuit and journey to the top.

The Straight And Narrow

It is very hard to stay on the straight and narrow. The mind and the body is like a car that desperately needs a front end alignment. We always want to drift to the left our to the right. Often times I get the opportunity to speak with our youth in our community, and I always give them an example of a major one way highway with multiple exits and on ramps that run right through a heavily wooded jungle. The jungle consist of many things lurking to devour our lives. There is danger on both sides of us. If we drift left or right, we find ourselves off the path. The more we drift the further away we find ourselves from what we should be doing. The dangerous thing about drifting is that the direction of our lives changes so slowly that we may not recognize how far we are  from the path. We know that we need to re-direct but we think that we haven’t deviated that much. The deceiving aspect of distance is this. If we are on a straight line to hit our target in life and we drift one tenth of a center-meter to the left or the right, that change will be hardly noticeable. But if there is not a re-adjustment, and significant time passes, that slight drift will result in us being miles off course. We will look up and wonder to ourselves, ‘how did I get so far off my course?’

Eyes To See

Do you have eyes to see? I know your thinking, ‘what kind of a question is that?’ Well, I’m not talking about your physical eyess. I’m talking about your inner eye. The inner eye allows us to see things before they happen. We all have inner eyes, but most of us don’t take advantage of this great gift. With the inner eye we have the ability to recognize a good opportunity when it comes. But the most important thinig about the inner eyes is that they gives us the ability to see that a situstion may not be good for us. The inner eye has to be developed,  onec it is, you can see things coming from far off and get yoursefl in position to handle it appropriately, good or bad..
