Why Me?
That is a tough question to ask yourself. People usually ask themselves this question when they are facing something that doesen’t make sense or seem right. I have asked myself this question many times growing up. I came to find that it was a total waste of time and energy. A constant asking of why brings upon us a form of chaos, disorganized thoughts, and a deeper lack of understanding. The best thing we can do when we find ourselves in a situation that tempts us to utter those words is to re-direct that energy to overcoming the situation. When we ask that question, who are talking to anyway? Is it God we’re asking, or are we just feeling sorry for ourselves? Probably a little bit of both. Have you ever paid attention to a persons facial expression when they are using the word why? It is always in the form of confusion; and that confusion will intensify if we ask that question and we don’t get the answer we are looking for. More times than not, when we ask ourselves or someone else why, the answer is always unsatisfactory. Most of the time, I can’t tell you why. It is what it is, and it chose you or me because situations and circumstances do not discriminate.

Every Little Bit Helps
Some times when we look at where we want to go in life, we find ourselves doing nothing because it seems like there is just so much to be done. I want to encourage all of us to just do a little if that is all that can be done at the time; because every little bit helps. A little bit every day over the next ten years could very well add up to a completed task. So, no matter how small, get it down because it gets us that much closer to our goal.

The Art Of Communication
Communication seems to be so complicated at times. Everybody want to get their point across the way they want to get it across. The problem is this, everyone doen’t have the same communication style. Some of us come from different backgrounds and even from different generations. It is so important that we are clear as to what we are trying to get across instead of assuming that the message is clear. For example, if I were to say the word “fox”, I’m I referring to the animal, a good looking woman as it was during the 70’s, our a vehicle that was once called a fox? “Hey man, did you see that fox?” Which fox am I referring to? Clarity is so important today when so many people are already confused about their lives and what they should be doing with it. So, lets make sure that we are crystal clear and not assume that people understand what we mean, especially when we are talking with our children.

Today Revisited
What about today, someone asked me. Well, today is a good time to get it right. Often it takes many attempts to get any particular thing right. That is why it is important to get started today. No time to waste because today represents a moment in time of our life that we will never get back.

Restore
Years ago my daughter who was about nine years old walked out of my life because her mother could not deal with the fact that I had moved on. My daughter became a tool used against me to control me and to destroy the new relationship I was in. I had gotten married and every time my daughter went home it turned into a war. The bottom line was this, as long as I jumped when my daughters mom said jump, then she would not make things difficult when it came time for me to see my daughter. Of course it did not go over well with my wife for me to allow myself to be controlled by another woman. My relationship with my daughter was placed on hold because I was not about to allow her to be caught in the middle, and I hated watching her mom use her as a tool to control my life and destroy my marriage. My daughter is still angry with me today for backing off, but in time God will restore our relationship. Let me encourage any of you that have given up on an important relationship. God knows that situation, and if we will allow Him, He will bring it back to us.

Stay The Course
Are you on the right path for your life? Are the steps you taking today leading you in the right direction? How can we know for sure that we are headed down the right path? Pay attention to that inner witness that we all have. There are moments when we may not know for sure that we are going in the right direction, but as on any journey we always come to a point when we know this right, or this is wrong. Tak notice, that I did not say feel rifgt or feel wrong, I used the word know. When we get to a point that we know we are moving in the right direction, then we must stay the course, no matter what we feel.

Keep Your Head Up
When we allow ourselves to walk with our heads down. We are allowing the situation to defeat us. When this happens, our dreams are in jeopardy of being aborted. We must get our heads up so we can see where we are going and what’s coming our way.
