Discouragement is designed to make you feel like all of our efforts were a waste of time, and that things are never going to work out. Discouragement is nothing but a fickle emotions with a big bark and a bite that at first feels like it is huge. We should step back, take some deep breathes as the smoke screen clears, and be ready to go at it again. We will still have an opportunity to suceed.

No one wins with abuse. Joyce Meyer said it perfectly, “hurting people hurt other people.” If something doesn’t happen to break the cycle, there is good  chance for the abused  to become the abuser one day soon. Abuse comrs in many forms. Physical, emotional, and verbal. People suffering from abuse are all around us. When the word abuse is uttered, we think about a parent abusing their child, a spouse abusing their partner , or a family member abusing another family member. Abuse also occures in the work place when some one in authority abuses those under them. Those that abuse others must be confronted appropriately or else the abuse continues until significant damage is done.

I have wanted to do something great with my life as far back as I can remember. I thought in my twenties that I would reach the mountain top. Foolish me, I had so much to learn about greatness. I am in my mid forties now and I am still making mistakes and learning from them. The bottom line is this, we have no idea what it takes to maintain greatness. It requires so much learning and sacrifice. There must be a long intense training period, because greatness is not about us, but those around us.

I know that there are times when we are fearful about our future. We are living in some tough times these days. Not to mention how cruel some people can be for no reason at all. But we are not shy away from the thought of danger for it is only a thought. Most of the time the things we fear have no power at all. It’s just a smoke screen to keep us from moving forward in life. We know deep within ourselves what we need to do to advance our lives, and we should not allow fear and cruel people who say cruel things  stop us from doing what we’ve got to do.
