What are you wearing on your face?  Is it anger, happiness, or sadness. One of my favorite things to do is to watch people. I’m constantly reading people’s face to see how they respond to things in their in environment, particularly me. Our faces usually tell it all. On the flip side, I have had to learn to put on an inviting face because my face is always stern looking, which has caused some people to avoid me. Many people have approached my wife to get her to mention things to me because they were terrified to do so. So we need to learn to put on an inviting face.

I really have a difficult time being around tense people. I’m not talking about people that are just passionate about what they do. But I am talking about up tight people. Being around them for extended periods of time can, if we’ere not careful, begin to stress us out. Are you one of those kind of people? No problem, we don’t have to be uptight. Just remember this when the opportunity presents itself, that nothing is hardly ever as bad as it first seems. Choose to be ready and not so reactive.

I know, just like me you all have had those days that are just sad. The state that our country is in, our personal finances, and the way some people behave on the job are all contributors. If we are not careful, we will allow those things to tell us what kind of life we are going to have to settle for. Don’t fall for it my friends. We must not allow momentary situations to dictate how things are going to be for the rest of our lives. The good news is that all seasons change, which simply means that we must stand our ground during the springs and falls of life. Besides, how can we understand true joy without first experiencing sorrow.

Take a deep breath and ask yourselves this question, ‘Am I enjoying my life?’ If the answer is no, then we need to ask ourselves what is the problem. It is not appropriate to say to ourselves that we are going to wait until certain thing in our lives turn around before we can be happy and enjoy our lives. Happiness just doesn’t happen, we have to choose it. We choose it by making better decisions that produce better results and by not allowing the present unpleasant circumstance to cause our spirits to be cast down.

Stepping out and going for what we believe in can be a scary adventure. But what is the alternative? To keep doing what we are doing, knowing deep down inside that if we don’t step out and go for it, that it will haunt us for the rest of our lives? I’ve had it said to me on many occasion that you only live once. That statement is so true. Once its over, it’s over. We can’t go back and do what we wish we would have. I wish I would have, what a horrible thing to have to tell yourself when it is late in the game and there is not enough time left. I have said it to myself before, but no more for me. How about you, and that thing that you want to do. The clock is ticking, and with ever tick your life is being consumed. Lets not allow ourselves to pass away without living a full life. Are you one of those that always focus on the dark side of situations that come up that appear to be adverse? Look on the bright side as they say, I know that this is a challenge for some of us, but  I promise you that there is an up side to every situation. Listen, what is it that allows  us to understand the darkness? It is the light, without one, we would not understand the other. Therefore, do not be tricked into thinking that there is only one side to focus on when something bad happens. Remember also that light penetrates dark.
