Not Again
Yes, we are going to spend some time talking about results this year. We do not want to look up and find ourselves saying “Not Again,” as the year comes to an end. We are going to challenge ourselves on a daily basis to make sure that at the end of the year that things in our lives are different. There will be many things that rise up to trip us up. But our biggest obstetrical is going to be ourselves. It’s not the devil, our job, or our spouse that will be the reason for our failure. So when things get difficult, we will need to look in the mirror at ourselves and what we are going to do to overcome the situation. It doesn’t matter who we think pulled the trigger, we must look at ourselves as the one that must come up with the solution to the problem and then follow through. Then, when the thought comes to our mind about this year being just like the last one, we can confidently say, “Not Again.”

2013
I wanted to skip the happy new year stuff because I personally don’t want to get wrapped up into the hype of it. I have some really important things in my life that must change with this year. Usually when I write I use words like we, us and our, but for this first day of this year, I’m going to use the word “I” a lot I must become the person I need to be in order to accomplish This year has got to be different, so I am not going to make projections and set goals because it is just the thing to do. I must become the person I need to be in order to accomplish many things. This year has got to be more about being and doing than goals and step by step plans. The question is this, where is the fine line between setting goal and being the kind of person one would need to be to allow those goals to be realized? I have found myself often referring to my goals as opposed to identifying the daily activities required for me to be able to say that the goal has been achieved. In essence, I am saying that 2013 must be about being and doing.
