Don’t Judge
This is a tough concept, judging others for whatever the reason. I find myself judging people often before I catch myself and begin to back off them with my thoughts. But just this week, I encountered a situation that has allowed me to somewhat grow up a little bit in this area. I have the privilege to be in on a project with three other men. One is an international business man, one is running for a seat on the senate, and the other is a lawyer. The businessman told me to do something that I had already set in motion. He said it in such a way that he really didn’t seem to care if I did it or not. We left the meeting that day all excited about what our plans are. Several days past after I had sent him a text about something that was really important to me. But because he didn’t respond as promptly as I thought he should, I began to allow negative thoughts to enter my mind. I was able to catch myself before it took root in my thinking. When he finally responded to me. He revealed to me that concerning my request, he had already made arrangements for it before I had mentioned it to him. Here’s my point, we dont always understand God’s way of doing things, and therefore I lot of the time we judge his actions without realizing that we are doing so. The business man has responsibilities world wide, and is sitting from a point of view that is just a whole lot clearer than mine. I just need to trust that, even when I don’t get an immediate response. So, if a man can show me this, just think about God’s perspective. He has a vantage point that allows Him to see all things at once. We just need to know that He has already set the plan in motion to deal with the issue that has yet to come up in the lives of people like you and me. Let’s not judge his ways, because His ways are higher than our ways.
