Thinking
I was once advised to think, and think hard about what I was trying to accomplish with my life. The energy that is used to focus on a tough situation is more depleting than a grueling physical workout. Maybe that’s why many of us never realize our dreams. We are not willing to put ourselves through the frustration of turning off the outside distractions, and force our minds to focus only on the issues at hand. Our minds belong to us, we should force them to think on the things that we need them to. But we can be sure of this, if we don’t force them to think in the direction that we want our lives to go, we are going to end up somewhere we don’t want to be. As the pressures of life mount, our minds will be pressured to think in negative patterns. Therefore, it is essential that we train our minds to focus in the mist of the storms of life. When the storm clouds start rolling in, then there is our opportunity to train our minds by forcing them the think on what we want as opposed to what the situation may be suggesting. It is a given, that our lives are moving in the direction of our most dominant thinking patterns. So, I ask you my friends, what are you thinking about?
